We are in unprecedented times. With the ongoing concern about COVID-19 (coronavirus)and the incredible speed with which things are changing around us, we are continually adapting to how we can serve you during this time in a manner that is sensitive to your personal needs and attentive to what we know about best practices around the spread of this virus.
I personally want to assure you that we are here for you during this time, and are looking at ways the state and insurance companies will allow us to stay in connection with you in the event that you are not feeling well, choose to stay at home, or if we need to adjust our clinical hours. As the longest established counseling practice in the area, we have faced many challenges which has helped us to be prepared for a situation like this. Your well-being and support is our TOP priority, and we will continue to do this in the safest and most helpful ways available to us.
We are maintaining close connections The Centers for Disease Control, Public Health, and other Counseling Clinics to:
Protect you when you come to our agency – We are asking EVERYONE to complete a brief screening in the waiting room. Those who have shown to be at higher risk of having the virus will be asked to return home and to contact the hotline (listed below) by Aspirus to determine the next best step. We are building an ever-present focus on cleanliness and continually assessing safe contact while you are in the building. More frequent schedules of disinfecting bathrooms, doors, entrances, and common areas is occurring. We have removed items such as magazines, children’s toys, and pillows in order to decrease risk of germs being spread. We are adding areas to comfortably to wait for your therapist while having less exposure to others.
Offer helpful information to you if you are feeling ill - Clients who are already feeling ill are asked to call in to let us know they will stay home, and their therapist will make efforts to schedule a followup phone session if that would be helpful. The COVID-19 Call Center, established through Aspirus, is available for people who believe they may be infected with the virus. The dedicated line will be operational and staffed by live operators during the following hours:
